O Sistema das Nações Unidas, ou Sistema ONU, é um complexo conjunto de dezenas de instituições, que operam em todo o mundo para implementar os objetivos estabelecidos pela Carta da ONU.
Para trabalhar próximo a uma operação de paz, você tem basicamente duas possibilidades:
(1) Você poderá trabalhar diretamente em uma operação em andamento (se for civil, o seu contrato será firmado com o Secretariado da ONU ou com o UN Volunteers); ou
(2) Você poderá trabalhar em algum programa, agência ou fundo da ONU que tenha atividades em países onde haja operações de paz, como ACNUR, PNUD ou UNICEF, por exemplo.
Work at the UN
The United Nations System, or UN System, is a complex set of dozens of institutions, which operate around the world to implement the objectives established by the UN Charter.
To work closely with a peace operation, you essentially have two options:
(1) You may work directly on an ongoing operation (if you are civilian, your contract will be with the UN Secretariat or UN Volunteers); or
(2) You may work in any UN programme, agency or fund that has activities in countries where there are peace operations, such as UNHCR, UNDP or UNICEF, for example.
